This agency works across many industries with no particular legal specialization.
How we score →Hibu is a national digital marketing provider for small and mid-sized businesses, offering website design and hosting, SEO, paid search and display advertising, Google Business Profile management, and review generation through locally assigned account representatives, with law firms among its many client industries.
Hibu is a large, national digital marketing provider serving small and mid-sized businesses across many industries, with local sales representatives assigned to individual accounts. Its core offerings, as described by clients across hundreds of public reviews, include website design and hosting, SEO, paid search and display advertising, Google Business Profile management, and review generation, sold through multi-month service agreements. Unlike the boutique, legal-only agencies elsewhere in this directory, Hibu operates at much larger scale and does not appear to specialize in law firms specifically — its review base spans home services contractors, healthcare practices, pool companies, and small retailers alongside a smaller number of legal clients.
Hibu assigns each account a named representative who handles onboarding, campaign setup, and ongoing check-ins, typically monthly. Reviewers describe an initial phase focused on building or migrating a website, setting up Google Business Profile and local SEO, and then layering in advertising and review-generation tools through a client dashboard. Several reviewers mention six-month minimum service agreements as a standard part of the contract structure.
A large share of Hibu’s reviews are enthusiastic, and nearly all of them are about a specific person rather than the company as a whole. Reviewers repeatedly credit individual reps — names like Jeremy, Leah, Ryan Lujan, Jacob Stallman, Mallory, and Mia recur across dozens of five-star reviews — for patient explanations of SEO and advertising concepts, proactive monthly check-ins, and real traffic or lead growth over several months to a year of service. Multiple reviewers explicitly note that results take time and caution other readers not to judge Hibu after only a couple of months, framing early skepticism as a common but ultimately unfounded concern once a campaign matures.
Set against that, a substantial and recurring set of one-star reviews describes serious problems concentrated in billing and cancellation, not campaign execution. Common complaints include continued monthly charges after a client believes they’ve cancelled, confusing or repeatedly revised invoices, being told a card was charged while the client was actively on the phone attempting to cancel, and long hold times or unreturned calls once a client tries to exit a contract. Several reviewers separately describe reps who were responsive and likeable personally but say the surrounding company processes — contract terms, account transitions, refund handling — caused significant frustration regardless. A smaller number of reviewers report spending several thousand dollars over months with little to no measurable lead generation, and at least one describes an ad campaign error (a misspelled business name) that went live despite an approved proof. Because these billing and cancellation issues appear across reviews spanning several years rather than as an isolated incident, they read as a structural pattern in how the company’s contract and support processes work, rather than one-off bad luck with a single representative.
The split in Hibu’s review record suggests results depend heavily on which individual rep is assigned to an account, while the company-level experience — contract terms, billing accuracy, and the process for cancelling or transitioning away — draws the most consistent and serious criticism. Firms considering Hibu should get exact cancellation terms and notice requirements in writing before signing, confirm what happens to owned assets (domain, listings, ad accounts) if they later switch providers, and keep records of all communications, a step multiple reviewers explicitly recommend based on their own experience.
Hibu’s scale is genuinely different from every other agency in this category — its review count runs into the hundreds rather than the dozens typical of boutique legal marketing shops, and it operates as a national organization with local reps rather than a single, centralized team. That scale can mean more established internal tooling and a larger bench of specialists behind the scenes, but the review pattern suggests it also means less consistency from account to account: two firms signing up in the same month, in similar markets, may have very different experiences depending entirely on which rep and which regional support structure they land with. A firm evaluating Hibu should treat any single glowing or scathing review as one data point among many rather than a reliable predictor of its own experience, and should weight the company-level billing and cancellation complaints more heavily than the rep-specific praise, since the former reflects structural process and the latter reflects individual variation.
Hibu can work for a very small or newly formed law practice that wants a low-effort, one-stop setup for a website, local SEO, and basic advertising, especially if the assigned rep proves responsive and the firm is comfortable with a fixed-term contract. It is a weaker fit for firms that want a marketing partner steeped specifically in legal industry strategy, or that have been burned before by rigid contract terms and want maximum flexibility to exit or renegotiate. Any firm proceeding with Hibu should treat the contract and cancellation terms with the same scrutiny as the marketing plan itself. For legal-focused alternatives, browse our 2026 ranking of the best law firm marketing agencies.
Hibu's large review volume is sharply split. Many reviewers praise individual account representatives by name for responsiveness, patience explaining SEO, websites, and ads, and measurable traffic or lead increases, with several describing meaningful growth after months of service. But a substantial share of reviews describe serious, recurring problems: aggressive contract terms that are difficult to cancel, continued billing and card charges after cancellation requests, confusing or shifting invoices, reps who stop responding once a contract is signed, and campaigns that reviewers say produced few or no leads despite thousands of dollars in monthly spend. Multiple reviewers explicitly warn others to document every interaction and confirm cancellation terms in writing before signing. The pattern suggests outcomes depend heavily on the individual representative assigned, with company-level billing and support processes drawing the most consistent criticism.
These guys do a great job. I love working with Jeremey and Hibu. He has helped bring this Business up to the top of the SEO lists in my area.
Brendon is my sales rep and he is amazing. Lets me know what's going on in a way that I can understand. if there are ever any edits to be made h is always right on top of it. I could not be happier. Ive worked with lots of marketing firms but Brendon and Hobo are by far the best
If you’re looking to grow your business, strengthen your online presence, and generate more high-quality leads, I highly recommend Hibu. Their digital marketing solutions are truly a game changer for businesses that want to stand out in today’s competitive market. A special thank you to Mia Skorput, who went above and beyond to explain every step of the process with incredible patience, professionalism, and expertise. Her knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, website optimization, online advertising, and local search was outstanding, and she made everything easy to understand without ever making me feel pressured. What impressed me most was Hibu’s commitment to helping businesses succeed with customized marketing strategies designed to deliver real results. If you’re searching for a trusted digital marketing company to help grow your business, increase visibility, and attract more customers, Hibu is an excellent choice. Five stars to Mia and the entire Hibu team!
Hibu has done so well for our company! Leah is an amazing representative, she is always there to help us when we need it. She meets with us monthly, and makes sure everything is going well for us. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Leah and Hibu in general!
I have to take a minute to share my experience with HiBu over the last eight months. I was with Revlocal and was fed up with the level of service when HiBu purchased them. At that time I was ready to switch vendors and had a call with Mallory Thurm who convinced me to give HiBu a try. Wow, am I glad I did, Mallory has been amazing! She is so detailed and creative and stays on top of all of my campaigns. She and her team have taken me from nonexistent on Google to #19 in the last few months as well as helped me get over 100 FIVE Star reviews! I can’t wait to see what she does in the next 6 months- way to go Mallory! Thanks so much. Brad
I see that several negative reviews are from people who are dissatisfied with results after only a couple of months, but everyone needs to realize that it takes time for Google and other platforms to learn a new website. Working with Susanna, My Account Manager, and having our digital marketing with Hibu has helped us improve our online visibility and generate more customer inquiries. During the first half of 2026, our website traffic increased by approximately 45% and lead activity increased by nearly 50% compared to the same period in 2025. She is knowledgeable, responsive, and consistently provides clear recommendations based on our business goals and marketing performance.
I signed up for 6 months. Cost my company over $13,000 in monthly fees. I got not 1 lead. Complained after the first month. All I got was complete lies. Hibu doesn’t deserve the 1 Star. Jim King Founder & CEO King Piers LLC
If you are considering working with Shannon at Hibu please read. I have been working with Shannon Romero for right around 6 months now. What an excellent experience it has been! From start to finish he has had top tier communication, punctuality, and honesty. If this gentleman tells you he is going to get something done, it gets done. If you are looking to grow your business and be able to track everything with ease, Shannon is your guy!
Our experience with Hibu was frustrating and ultimately led to billing disputes. We entered into a digital marketing agreement expecting services to begin according to the Statement of Work and agreed service periods. Over time, we experienced repeated confusion regarding billing dates, service activation timing, updated Statements of Work, campaign status changes, and account balances. We requested clarification regarding what services were active, when campaigns actually went live, and how charges were allocated. We also requested supporting documentation for billed advertising spend and received summaries rather than underlying vendor invoices. After attempting to terminate services and removing account access, we continued receiving invoices, collection notices, campaign pause/reactivation emails, and changing balances. If you’re considering using this company, my recommendation is: keep every email, document every conversation in writing, confirm exact start dates, clarify cancellation requirements upfront, and monitor billing closely. This was our experience and others should do their own due diligence.
I hired Hibu in October of 2025. They claimed to me they would fix everything with my digital marketing and start generating me leads almost immediately. $15,000 spent 6 estimates . The website they built me is cookie cutter and almost pathetic , SEO is almost nonexistent. What was I told after that ? Spend more money, Trying to cancel with them is a horror story as well. Pay a little more to have someone who actually puts the time and effort into making your phones ring. This company does not deliver.
Oddly enough for a company that promotes marketing to improve google impressions- It took me a lot of work to find their google business profile. Wish we would have checked the reviews here and the BBB before signing up. 1 year of service, thousands of dollars for nothing- not even $100 of revenue generated from their "Services". They low key need investigated at this point. I won't repeat what everyone is saying in the comments. Just know if someone posted a low rating and they typed out the issues- it's true. I read back over 2 years' worth of reviews on here, and they all are true and happened to us as well. It is so bad that we reported them to the BBB. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM FOR ANYTHING. **Also check the BBB complaints because it's just as bad as their google.
My business is Gold Coast Pools.. The only way I'd be satisfied is if I got a full refund from these clowns. My representative was great Robin but I should have known better. I wish I would have known what I didn't know before I signed up. She was nice but the company is an absolute disaster. The only way I'd be satisfied is if I could get a refund it's the least they can do, Otherwise, I'm not going to sue for the small amount that you've collected, even though it's way too much for anyone to Bear/ $800-900 a month for absolutely nothing produced. Most frustrating experience from a company that supposedly is the best and is absolutely the worst.
HIBU is a great company with honest people. They built me an amazing website for my business, Fortner’s Home Improvements. Thanks Ryan for everything that you do!!!
Terrible company. With them over a year and literally nothing came from it but a headache. Super unprofessional but they are good at taking your money. Do not use these guys.
Hibu is the REAL DEAL. Most of these "digital marketing companies" only post ads with no knowledge or performance resume. Hibu was able to offer a local agent here in Greenwood, IN who actually understood the local market as well as marketing. Very worth it! The "suggested recommendation" was intimidating at first, but it was based on what was most effective to actually get a return. Very happy with Hibu and definitely recommend them. Only other initial concern was the 6 month contract but after seeing how everything works, I totally that its needed bc real results are compounded over the first serveral months.
Hibu is very professional and among all the digital marketing companies we've been exposed too in Indianapolis over the years, their "local ranking" /SEO is actually the best and lower priced than others.
Terrible experience, Under no circumstance would I ever use this company again, the pressure is intense and they try to take over your website so they have complete control! If I could it would be 0 Stars...
Ben was great spent over an hour with to explain EVERYTHING with seo, marketing and website development. Great guy. Looking good forward to do doing business
Absolutely terrible experience with Hibu. Our rep completely stopped responding — we’ve called, texted, and emailed with no reply. They failed to transfer our website in time, which left our business without a website for several days. That is unacceptable for a company that charges what they charge. They are way too expensive for this level of service. It gets worse. When we called corporate to cancel due to the lack of communication and failed service, they claimed they don’t even have access to their manager’s phone number. While we were ON THE PHONE with them trying to cancel, they ran our card anyway for $1,300 Unprofessional, disorganized, and zero accountability. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere!
We cannot say enough good things about Hibu, and our rep Leah! We've only been with Hibu for the last 6 months, but we have gained so much from them. Leah is always on top of anything we need and checks in monthly to make sure we're doing okay. If I could give 10 stars, I would every time!
Shinora is a great people person, very helpful, goes the extra mile to make sure her clients are fully aware and happy with there website and results, great asset for your hibu team
Ryan Lujan is enthusiastically helping grow my business. I own Eastern Shore Pet Hospital in Alabama and I have seen real growth in my practice with the help of Hibu!
Ryan has always made himself available for any questions I have about my service with Hibu. He takes the time to hear me out and explain everything in a way that helps me understand marketing.
Ryan Lujan has been great helping us get our business on track. He has been so helpful and very knowledgeable.
Hibu provided a very nice web site for my company. Jacob Stallman goes above and beyond. No high pressure. Understands my wants and needs. Even if it's to be left alone for a bit. I will stay with Hibu as long as Jacob is my rep.
Megan Flatland is our HIBU representative. I appreciate all of her support. She checks in with our business monthly. She and HIBU have been great for us.
Ryan Lujan has been great at providing detailed breakdowns and helping us to continue to improve our website and online presence in a world in which it can make or break a company like ours over at Solid Roofing Inc.
I used them for about a year, I decided I would get better service from another provider. I called my Rep and cancelled, was assured that my account was closed and did not here from them for many months. One day recently I got a call from them and someone I had never talked to before said he was my Hibu rep and wanted to know how the service was working for me and I said I closed my account a long time ago. He said it is still open. I called account services and they told me my account was open and that I had to call a special number to cancel. I was trnsfered and sat on hold for a very long time. Eventually a message came on and said we are to busy to talk to you, call back later and then the line went dead. No opportunity to leave a message or call back number. I was connect to this special number many times with the same result. I eventually told the guy at account services no to transfer me and to get me the person that could close my account. I was on hold with him for over an hour. He eventually told me my account was closed, I did not believe him and asked for a conformation number or email. He said we do not do that. After calling American express and telling my story I got my money back temporarily and an email from them saying my account was closed. They are now threatening me, even sent me an email stating that my business is now for sale and wanted to know if I wanted to buy it. These people are not honest, never enter into an agreement with them. YOU WILL NOT GET ANYTHING IN WRITING. They are crooks.
Jacob Stallman recently took over our account and has been fantastic to work with. He helped us resolve a Google Listing issue, including granting access and merging duplicate listings. Jacob was responsive, thorough, and made sure everything was completed smoothly. Highly recommend his support!
Gabi LeGrand has been exceptional with every area of service she's provided for our company. Her attentiveness and quick completion of tasks has been appreciated since day one. We look forward to continue our services, not just with Hibu, but with our developed relationship with such a great service team! Thank you for all that you do, Gabi!
Tom Brown at Hibu has been our trusted partner in building, launching, and maintaining our new website. For years, we had no online presence, relying on loyal clients and referrals. Tom showed us how a functional website could attract new clients while serving existing ones. He listened to our goals, understood our business needs, and offered creative, tailored solutions—never just trying to make a sale. Unlike other companies that wanted to build our site remotely, Tom brought a hands-on, professional, and visionary approach. He took time to learn our story, meet clients, and weave our values into a fresh, impactful online presence. His ideas have consistently delivered beyond expectations, spotlighting our quality and reputation. Tom’s talent, attention to detail, and ongoing guidance in SEO and online marketing have been invaluable. He’s become more than a service provider—he’s part of the family. Thank you, Tom, for giving our business the online presence it deserves and for being a true rock star.
My boy Jeremy always responds and answers the phone. Hibu is making a huge difference so far in my online presence.
Has helped us acquire lots of reviews from long time customers. The dashboard is easier to use than other services we've used in the past. The website they built looks nice, the process wasn't super intuitive for us but it worked out in the end. Our rep, Jeremy, is very helpful and has useful information and useful guidance.
Matt Lane and HIBU has been money well spent. If you are on the fence I'd urge you to trust in their work. He has been easy to work with and very knowledgeable about marketing our company. Give them a try!
Worst ever. I have had 2 different reps that were amazing. Every other part of this business is terrible. Took 8 times calling to get a person on the phone. My 6 month agreement says I must give 30 days notice to cancel but they say I must be within 30 days to do so. Their email kept sending emails to people that I did not want to happen. I eventually had to disable it. The assistant was messing up my phone lines. The add was sent to me. It looked good, I approved it and it went live. They then for some reason mispelled my name in the advertisement even though it was spelled correctly in the proof. All over bad service from everyone except my direct reps that could do nothing but help me sit on the phone with customer service and feel bad for me.
Max and his team at Hibu have been instrumental in transforming our digital marketing presence. We hired them to help us get more business and reviews and they've far exceeded our expectations!!
working with Stephen has been a pleasure. Stephen has done an excellent job helping our company through the process of building our new website and helping with our SEO as well. I recommend Hibu and Stephen if you'd like to improve your website search and make your business more visible online.
We've been working with Hibu for some time now, and the experience has been fantastic—especially thanks to Kimberly! She has been incredibly patient in walking us through every step of the process, from website creation to ads and SEO. What sets her apart is her willingness to meet in person—she regularly comes to our office for face-to-face conversations, which we truly value in a world where everything is moving virtual. Since partnering with Hibu, we've seen noticeable growth in website visits, which has directly led to more calls and leads for our business. Prior to this, our online presence was minimal, but Kimberly and the team have really helped bring it to life. The impact on our small, family-owned business has been significant, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We plan to continue working with them and highly recommend their services!
I just want to take a moment to share how grateful I am to have Megan as my sales manager. Since she's taken over my account, the level of care and commitment I've received has been like night and day compared to my past experiences. Megan is proactive, attentive and truly dedicated to helping my business succeed- Whether it's with marketing strategies or keeping my website in top shape. She always follows through, communicates clearly, and makes me feel like a priority, not just another account number. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about your business the way she does, and couldn't be happier with the support she provides. Thank you Megan, for giving above and beyond. Best wishes, David Mattos/ Owner
Do not work with Hibu. My experience was frustrating from start to finish. The sales pitch promised impressive results and personalized service, but the actual campaign fell far short. We saw little to no improvement in leads or online visibility, despite paying premium rates. On top of that, customer service was difficult to reach, and when we did connect with someone, getting clear answers or timely updates was a challenge. Canceling the service was another headache, with confusing contract terms and extra fees. If you’re considering Hibu for digital marketing, I’d advise looking elsewhere.
I have been happy with my Hibu services and that is primarily the result of the efforts of Jacob Stallman, my Hibu representative. In the faceless world we live in, it has been refreshing to actually have a human being to communicate with, and more importantly, one who actually cares about his clients. Jacob is honest and hard working and I would give him my highest recommendation.
We are very pleased with Hibu and especially the personalize and professional attention provide by our Rep, Ryan Lujan.
My agent can't even tell me how their ads work she just gives me a budget and doesn't tell me about duration or any other details that I have requested , and has also posted a satire Facebook page to my website that we both agreed was wrong and would hurt the business, she will not reply to any of my emails ..I am at my wit's end with this company
Hibu has been designing and updating my website for years and my rep sue auner has always been there for me with taking care of any questions I have and always responds quickly...she keeps me updated on any changes that might be going on with google and my website and always giving me options to expand...I am very happy with hibu!..thank you Sue!
I have been using Hibu for 3+ years. I used them this long because they offered comprehensive online services for SEO, Website, SEM, etc. I looked into pausing and cancelling and they have gone above and beyond to make sure I pay for an extra month and even reinstated services I had previously turned off. Now I'm on the phone with person after person that claim they can't do anything to help. I'll be paying approximate 3k extra for services. I am not bound by a contract with them and just upset about the money. I am upset because all this looks like to me is them trying to get every last dime out of me by exhausting my time and efforts with dead ends as I try to move on. I can honestly say I had great rapport with my sales representative until he had to quit because he only gets paid on new contracts and wasn't allowed to leave a certain geographic area for new business. Meaning he had zero incentive to continue to help me or any other contracts he already signed. He did it because we became friends. So I was actually moving on because I lost my connection to the business and a real person who could help and cared about how my marketing went. All in all bad business model for keeping happy customers and cancelation process literally made me go out of my way to write this review. This is not what I want to waste my time doing. Oh and I can't start with another company because they refuse to release online accounts until after the final billing. Response to your Reply: There recent help was declining to help. Charging me for a full months service after cancellation, not releasing my yext listing and adding on $1700 services after cancellation and refusing to remove them. Also the cherry on top, I just got an email from a new HIBU sales rep in the area. Shes wondering if I am interested in improving my online presence. So she doesn't even know I am already a client and she wants to improve on her own services. WOW, great job HIBU!

Hibu offers website design and hosting, SEO, paid search and display advertising, Google Business Profile management, and review generation, delivered through a locally assigned account representative.
Hibu serves small and mid-sized businesses across many industries, with a smaller share of legal clients alongside home services, healthcare, and retail businesses, rather than specializing exclusively in law firms.
